SMTP, POP3, IMAP SERVERS

SMTP:

Our SMTP servers allow you to send e-mail from you@yourdomain.com. Bear in mind that the SMTP server is using the POP-before-SMTP authentication method.

What this means?

It means that you will always have to log into the incoming mail server (POP3/IMAP) before being able to send through the outgoing mail server.

POP3:

POP3 is the most common and most widely used protocol for retrieving e-mail messages.
All e-mail clients (Outlook, Outlook Express, Eudora, Thunderbird, etc.) support the POP3 protocol.
It is also fully supported by our servers, with the added capability of using APOP (Authenticated POP), which allows you to transmit your password securely.

IMAP:

Our IMAP server will permit your "client" e-mail program (e.g. Eudora, Outlook) to access remote messages stored as if they were local.
For example: The e-mail stored on an IMAP server can be accessed from a desktop computer at home, a workstation at the office, and a notebook computer while traveling, without the need to transfer messages or files back and forth between these computers.
